Product Reviews

This page is dedicated to product reviews.  All of the content is strictly for informational purposes and is solely my opinion.  As the manager of a grocery store, I get to try some products and often receive information about products before they come into stores.  I also just like stuff and getting good deals.
I found a new product review site where women can join and give their oppinions about various products.  Go to http://www.shespeaks.com/home.

9/12/11: This week I was able to try a new product, Extra Dessert Delights Gum. The sales rep was extremely nice and gave me full size packages of four flavors to try and order into my grocery store if I liked them. I am currently chewing the Mint Chocolate Chip one right now as I type this post. http://www.extragum.com/

He said that the concept behind the product evolved because Extra is a sponsor of television's "The Biggest Loser." While working with the contestants, the company asked,"What is it that you miss the most when dieting?" The contestants replied, "Eating desert that actually tastes like dessert." So, the Extra Gum company developed their new "Dessert Delights" line of Sugar Free gum. Even Diabetics can chew this and still get the same taste of eating a real dessert without all of the sugar.

I was able to try Mint Chocolate Chip (which is their #1 seller), Strawberry Shortcake, Orange Cream Pop, and my favorite, Apple Pie.

Let me just say, that all of these flavors do last forever. The Apple Pie was my favorite because it tasted just like a real apple pie. The Strawberry Shortcake had a very strong strawberry taste. I liked it too, my mother said it was too strong for her. I liked the Chocolate Chip Mint next. It did, however, have a very strong mint taste, which was a little too much for me. At first I did think that it tasted just like the ice cream (which is my all time flavor). But, after a while, I got tired of the mint taste. Yes, I'm still chewing it as I type this. Taste is still strong. Next, I liked the Orange Cream Pop. It reminds me of an old fashioned Dreamcicle. But, it did have a little mint gum aftertaste in it. That is why it was probably my least favorite of the four that I tried.

All in all, I liked them. I can see where they would make a good dessert substitute, especially if you are on a diet. Each package contains 15 sticks, and will probably run close to a dollar or a little more. (I haven't made my store shelf tags for these yet.) But, you do get a lot of bang for your buck. The flavor will last an Extra Extra long time!

This week, 4/11/11, thanks to my Walgreen's Deals, I was able to purchase the Venus Pro Skin Razor System (for $1.99).  Usually I swear by Skintimate Shave Gel, but since this was cheap I tried it.  And guess what???
I loved it.
No more lathering, only to have it rinse off in the shower, just shave and go.  Silky smooth.

I've been hearing all about Tide Stain Release for a little while now.
(I get coupons for it in every box of Tide I use, and that's a lot of Tide).
Walgreens had it on sale for $3.99 plus I had a $1.00 off coupon then if I bought $10 worth of P&G products (which I did) I got $3 in RR.  So it was pretty much free.  I bought the liquid and the powder packs.  Before school I totally spilled my Diet Dr. Pepper all over my counter.  I used a white towel to wipe it up, and didn't have time to wash the towel right away.  After sitting and soaking in all day, the now brown towel needed to be washed.
I tossed in Tide Stain Release and guess what...... no more stain.
